1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Whiskey Notebook ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Whiskey Notebook is a web application that allows users to collect and organize cocktail recipes, track a personal whiskey shelf, and access AI-powered tools for discovering and generating cocktail recipes. Certain features require a paid Pro subscription.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information when registering. You may not share your account with others or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Pro Subscription and Billing

• — The Pro plan is billed at $4.99 per month and includes 75 AI prompts per month plus premium features.
• — Subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled.
• — You may cancel at any time through your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
• — Prompt top-up purchases are one-time, non-refundable payments.
• — All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• — Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

5. AI Features

AI-generated content (recipes, suggestions, whiskey details) is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee accuracy. Always use your own judgment when preparing and consuming alcoholic beverages responsibly.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of recipes and content you create. By submitting content to public areas of the Service (public recipes, whiskey submissions), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content to other users. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Service Availability

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible. In the event of permanent closure, we will endeavour to give at least 30 days' notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whiskey Notebook and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your private data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
